ABOUT LUMINOUS HEALING

THE PATH THAT BROUGHT ME HERE

There was a time in my life where I felt far removed from who I really was. Not in a way that looked obvious from the outside - but internally, I knew. The way I was living, thinking, and moving through life didn’t feel true to me, and over time, that disconnect began to take a toll.

Along the way, I’ve faced more than just internal struggles. I’ve moved through a range of experiences that challenged me in different ways - physically, emotionally, and within the environments and relationships I was part of. Some of it required me to slow down and pay attention. Some of it required me to take a hard look at myself and the choices I was making.

Those experiences changed my perspective - not just on healing, but on how I was living and who I wanted to become.

What I’ve come through and what I chose to face within myself shaped me. It wasn’t about simply finding my way back. It was about reconnecting with something deeper - something inherent that had been covered over, lost, or never fully recognized. There is something within each of us that is real, capable, and alive, even when it becomes buried beneath experience, conditioning, or pain. That is what informs how I sit with people now.

My background is in social work and psychology, and I spent years working in counseling with individuals navigating both mental health and substance use. That experience gave me a strong foundation in understanding people, behavior, and the complexity of what we carry. At the same time, the way I work today is not limited to that model.

I work intuitively. I listen beyond what is being said, and I allow what I sense and receive to guide the direction of the work. Alongside that, I draw from what I’ve been trained in - approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and existential work while also incorporating energy-based practices where they are supportive and appropriate.

My Approach

The way I work is guided by what is present and what begins to take shape as we move through it.

When you sit down with me, we start with what’s real for you. I listen closely, pick up on what’s underneath the surface, and begin connecting pieces in a way that helps things make more sense and feel more clear.

From there, I guide the process using both my training and my intuitive sense—drawing from what fits rather than following a fixed method. Some sessions stay in conversation. Others expand beyond that, depending on what’s needed.

There is structure in how I hold the space, but the work itself is not confined. It moves with you.

MY BACKGROUND

My work began within clinical settings, where I held both direct care and leadership roles supporting individuals navigating complex life circumstances.

Over time, I became closely involved in how those systems function—both in the day-to-day work with people and in the structure of the programs themselves. That experience gave me a clear view of what those models offer, as well as the areas they don’t always fully address.

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a Master’s degree in Psychology, along with advanced certifications in addiction counseling. That training has been an important part of my path, but it is only one piece of what informs the way I work today.

Personal Understanding

What I bring to this work is shaped by my own lived experience.

I know what it is to sit with things that don’t make sense, to question yourself, and to have to find your way without clear direction.

That perspective stays with me in how I listen, what I notice, and how I guide.

The Power of Synthesis

Everything I bring into this work comes together naturally in the moment.

I’m able to recognize patterns, connect what may seem unrelated, and respond in a way that brings more definition to what’s been difficult to fully see or make sense of.

This happens as we’re in it - not as a separate step, but as part of how I listen, process, and guide.

Working Together

You can bring what’s real - whatever you’ve been carrying, dealing with, or trying to make sense of.

We lay it out and start making sense of it in a clear, structured way - so you can actually see what’s there, instead of feeling like it’s all tangled together.

From there, we focus on what matters most and begin working through it piece by piece, in a way that is grounded and manageable.
